At Monterey

sunny 25 °C

Hi it’s Giaan,
After Morro Bay we headed off to Monterey. To get to Monterey you have to go along a part of the highway called Big Sur. Big Sur is long and windy but it has got spectacular views along the coastline. Our accommodation was in Seaside and it was called Sandcastle Inn.Sandcastle Inn didn’t have a pool but it did give you a continental breakfast every morning.
On Monday we went to the Monterey Aquarium. We saw the charming penguins swim around majestically as they got fed. There were even seahorses that could camouflage with the plant that was in their tank. There also was a Great White Shark but it was just baby. The otters were just soooooooo cute. We didn’t only see the otters in the aquarium but we also saw them in the wild. There were some jellyfish as well that blobbed about in their tanks. I didn’t have a favourite part of the aquarium because I enjoyed it all. For lunch we went to a lovely restaurant called The Sandbar.
You had to ring a bell to announce you wanted to come in. The burger they gave me was huge and I could barely finish it all. Mum and I spotted some markets and spent time there browsing and buying stuff.
In San Francisco at the moment. Having a great time. Will write about it soon. Thanks for all your comments. Please keep me updated on what's happening at home.
