Hiking Time

Left the Redwood Forests yesterday. Crescent City is abpleasant little place only abfew miles from the Oregon border. Went into the Jedediah Smith National Park to drop Lesley off for a 10 km hike. The drive in was quite beautifulut also very eeire. The huge trees (some almost 100m tall!) are very close to the road, sometimes almost on the road! You could almost see some dinosaur popping his head out to say "G'day". While Lesley went off intonthe forest, the kids and I wandered about the beach. We've had a couple of big driving days, so it was good for the kids to run like Labradors on the sand.
Decided to do a big drive to Portland, Oregon. This will give us a couple of days to see the city, and then leave a shortish drive to Seattle prior to the cruise to Alaska.

All that walking and hiking will be bringing you home several kilos lighter and several centimetres shorter in the legs. It must be awe inspiring to be among those huge redwoods and also for the intrepid pair standing in the middle of the swaying-among-the-clouds Golden Gate bridge. Go Robbos!

Hi there Robos. Sory for the lack of communication but have been having problems posting a comment-my fault. Then when I got Kanani to help me out we had a problem with our stupid computer but we have been keeping an eye on what you guys have been up to. Sounds like you ae all having a great time. If we got it right you will be almost returning from the cruise. We are nearly finished the first week of our little holiday...weather has been great - not one bit of precipitation over the week (that one was especially for you Robbo) and will be off to Don Pancho's tomorrow morning. Hopefully our computer will play properly when we ge home. Lovin the photos you have been posting. Won't hear from us until next week. Keep having fun and stay safe. Love to you all.
